Fusible Link Kit With Chain
This fusible link kit fits a linen or garbage chute discharge door. It ships with a chain, two “S” hooks, and one fusible link, as shown in the photo. Therefore you get the parts you need to hang the link on a hopper or rolling discharge door. Many buildings keep a spare on hand for quick service.
The chain measures 30 inches long. Because you can cut it down, it adapts to almost any location. As a result, one part fits many discharge door setups. The included hooks make the connection simple.
How This Assembly Works
The link holds the discharge door in its normal position. However, our links are designed to melt when the ambient temperature reaches 165 degrees in the case of a fire. Then the door can release as the design intends. This helps keep a fire from traveling up the chute to higher floors, which protects residents above.

These links come with all Hopper and Horizontal style Rolling Discharge Doors. In addition, this fusible link kit works as a direct replacement when an old link has aged out. Meanwhile, the simple S-hook design makes swaps quick for maintenance staff.
