This complete hopper discharge unit ships with the door already attached. It suits the outlet area at the base of a chute. Therefore you get one assembled part instead of separate pieces. Builders use it on both linen and laundry chute systems.
The door is a stainless steel, top-hinged unit. In addition, it carries a UL-B label and is fire rated. As a result, it pairs strength with a clean, easy-to-clean face.
Fire Safety Design
This hopper discharge unit comes with a fusible link. The link holds the door in its normal position. However, when excessive heat fuses the link, the door is designed to close on its own. So the assembly self-closes in the event of a fire at the outlet.
