Right Hand Chute Door — 18″ x 18″
This right hand chute door fits standard laundry and trash chute intakes. The unit hinges on the side, so it opens toward the right hand. Therefore it works well for new installs and for direct swaps of worn units.
No. 4 finish stainless steel forms the body. A border trim frames the opening. Also, the face shows no exposed welds or solder seams, so staff can wipe it clean in seconds. The front uses 20 gauge steel, while the back steps up to a heavier 18 gauge for strength, and we build every door in the USA.
Features Of This Intake Unit
Users open this unit by hand, and it then closes on its own. A keyed-alike cylinder lock secures it, while the latch holds it shut. Because the latch grabs each time, the panel stays closed after every use. Additionally, silent operation keeps hallway noise down.
Fire Rating
This panel carries a UL label, so it meets fire code needs. In fact, it holds a 1.5 hour rating with a UL Class B label at 250°F maximum temperature rise. In addition, our doors meet the latest national building codes, plus NFPA-82 and ASTM standards. However, you should always follow the manufacturer instructions and your local fire code when you install or service it.
