This Horizontal Rolling Discharge Chute Outlet Door is a Type D-HS unit. It is spring loaded, and it rolls on wheel rollers. Therefore it opens and closes smoothly at the base of a chute. Builders use it on trash chute and laundry chute systems.
The door panel uses aluminized steel. In addition, it has insulated Class “B” label construction. However, please note that the door does not bear a label. So always confirm your own code needs before you order.
Fire Safety Design
This door comes with a fusible link kit. The link melts at 165°F, and it is UL listed. Then, when heat fuses the link, the door is designed to roll shut on its own. As a result, it self-closes in the event of a fire. This helps slow a fire at the discharge point.
